the differences between the secondary jaw crusher and cone crusher

A jaw crusher is exactly that. It has a fixed outer plate that traps rock between it and a movable plate. The movable plate pivots from the bottom and rocks between its outer limit and the inner limit set by the distance between the plates. A jaw crusher can either be a primary or secondary crusher as it can handle large rocks and crush them to size as it passes down between the plates. It is better than a cone crusher for heavy load crushing.

This series of jaw crusher can reach the crushing ratio of 4-6 and the shape of final product is even. They are widely applied to crush high hardness, mid hardness and soft rocks and ores such as slags, construction materials, marble, etc. The pressure resistance strength is under 200Mpa, that is, suitable for primary crush. Jaw Crusher can be used in mining, metallurgical industry, construction, road and railway building, conversancy, chemistry, etc.

A cone crusher has an inner cone that spins and an outer fixed cone that is wider at the top than at the bottom. Rock falls between the outer cone and the inner spinning cone and gets crushed between the two cones as it progresses downwards. The size of the crushed material is governed by the width or distance between the two cones at the bottom. A cone crusher is generally a secondary crusher as it can only handle material that will fit between the upper opening.
